Forming and Pouring Concrete Patio By Myself
In this video I show how a concrete patio can be constructed by yourself with no other helpers. This is the second video of this video series. To build a patio this way I show how I formed the overall outer perimeter of the new concrete pad footprint and then broke this area into additional sections. Since I was working by myself I could only mix so many bags of concrete at one time and it would not be realistic to pour a very large concrete slab all at once. By pouring the concrete porch in multiple sections I insured I had enough time to work the concrete in each section before it set up. Additionally the concrete sections provide control joints which should be helpful to reduce cracking in any individual concrete pad section.

During this part of the concrete pad pour I mixed concrete using a concrete drill. It made things move so much more quickly and was much less backbreaking then mixing the concrete with a shovel.
